What we collect

When you join the Society, book an event or buy something in the shop, we ask for your name, postal address and email address, and — for paid transactions — billing details, which are processed by our payment providers rather than stored by us. Like every server on the internet, ours automatically receives your IP address so it can serve you a page; we use it for basic technical diagnostics and for aggregate visit statistics.

How we use it

We use your information to administer your membership, send you Topiarius and the members' bulletin, and process the events and orders you ask us to. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for third-party marketing. Where you have given consent to receive occasional Society emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every message, or by writing to us.

Third parties

We use trusted third parties to run our mailing list and to process payments. Each of them has their own privacy policy. Some are based outside the UK and operate under their own jurisdictions, including the United States. We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practice to protect your data at every step.

Your rights
